I just finished reading J. Oswald Sanders book Spiritual Leadership and tonight I will be at a spritual leaders meeting known as Joshua's Men (Jmen). It has been a great 9 months of study and learning. Last night God used Amanda again to reveal a message to me. She answered some questions about my qualities for leadership and noted that my wisdom and vision were lacking primarily because my connection with God is lacking. She suggested that I need to spend more time with God. I've told myself that my preparation for classes and mentoring is all I have time for but I keep hearing Martin Luther say that he had so much to do he had to spend 3 hours in prayer. I also think that one of the reasons why I don't sleep as well and why things don't come together quickly is because of my lack of prayer time. I do pray but it is usually during my walk to and from work, right before going to sleep, at meals, and while driving. But the only consistent quiet time I have for this would be first thing in the morning. I feel like God wants something I just haven't figured out what it is yet. I'm hoping the morning prayer time will bring it to light.
On another note, Amanda and I developed a great seeker study outline last night that I will use with Brandon's girlfriend, Amanda. I'm really excited about it because I feel it reveals God through Jesus and His purpose.
